Delays & Waits

Pause a LeadPattern bot flow with time delays and wait-until steps so follow-ups land at the right moment instead of all at once.

Not every step should run instantly. A delay pauses the flow for a set amount of time, and a wait-until step holds it until a specific moment — so your follow-ups feel natural instead of firing all at once.

Time delay

A time delay (time_delay) node pauses the flow for a duration you set — a few minutes, hours or days — before the next node runs.

1

Add a time delay node

Drop it between two steps where you want a pause.
2

Set the duration

Choose how long to wait before the flow continues.
3

Continue

When the delay elapses, the flow picks up at the next node automatically.

Common uses:

  • Wait a few minutes after a welcome message before sending a menu, so it doesn't feel robotic.
  • Wait a day after a purchase before asking for a review.

Wait until

A wait-until (wait_till) node holds the flow until a specific time — for example until business hours resume — then continues. Use it when the when matters more than the how long.

How a paused run shows in logs

While a flow is paused, its run is recorded as waiting rather than finished. When the time arrives, the same run resumes and completes. You can see this in the Bot Logs — a run that's stopped at a delay is distinct from one that finished or errored.
