Broadcast from a File
Upload a spreadsheet of recipients with per-row values in LeadPattern and send a personalized WhatsApp template broadcast, without building a segment.
Sometimes your audience — and the values you want to personalize with — live in a spreadsheet, not in a saved segment. A broadcast from a file lets you upload that spreadsheet and send an approved template where each row supplies its own variable values.
How it works

Prepare your spreadsheet
Build an xlsx with one row per recipient. Include the phone number and a column for each template variable you want to fill.

Choose an approved template
Pick the approved template you'll send. Its variables determine which columns you need.

Upload the file
Upload the spreadsheet. LeadPattern reads each row and maps its columns onto the template variables.

Map columns to variables
Match each template placeholder to the column that fills it, so every row produces a personalized message.

Send or schedule
Send now or schedule it, just like any other broadcast.
Preparing the spreadsheet
- Put the phone number in its own column, in full international format.
- Add one column per variable the template expects — the column header makes mapping clear.
- Keep values clean: blank cells leave the matching placeholder empty in that recipient's message.
After you send
A file broadcast delivers in the background and reports the same sent / delivered / read / failed counts as any broadcast. Rows with a bad or missing number show up as failures with a reason code.
What format should the file be?
An Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx) with a header row and one recipient per row.
What if a row is missing a value?
The matching placeholder is left empty for that recipient. Make sure every row has the values your template needs, or write copy that still reads well when a value is blank.
How many recipients can one file have?
Up to 10,000 per upload. Split larger lists into multiple files.
