How to Use Notes

Add internal notes to a WhatsApp conversation in LeadPattern — private context for your team that the customer never sees.

1 min readUpdated Oct 5, 2026

Notes are private, internal messages attached to a conversation. They're perfect for context a teammate needs — "VIP customer", "waiting on refund approval", "prefers calls after 5pm". The customer never sees them.

Add a note

1

Open the conversation

Select the chat in Chats.
2

Switch to a note

In the composer, choose the internal note option.
3

Write and save

Type your note and save it. It appears inline in the conversation, visually distinct from customer messages, and is attributed to you.

Notes and hand-offs

Notes pair naturally with assignment: when you reassign a conversation, drop a note explaining where things stand so the new owner can pick up instantly.
