Template Status

Understand WhatsApp template statuses in LeadPattern — pending, approved and rejected — what each means, and what you can do with a template in that state.

Every template has a status that reflects where it is in Meta's review. The status decides whether you can send it yet.

Each template shows its status; open one to see its details.

The statuses

Pending

Submitted to Meta and awaiting review. You can't send it yet — wait for the result.

Approved

Meta approved it. It's ready to use in chats, broadcasts and automations.

Rejected

Meta declined it. Fix the issue, then edit and resubmit. See

Why templates get rejected

Watching a template through review

1

Submit

After you create a template and submit it, it shows pending. See

Create a template
2

Wait for Meta

Review time varies. The status updates automatically when Meta responds.

3

Approved or rejected

An approved template becomes usable. A rejected one can be edited and resubmitted.

How long does approval take?

It varies — sometimes minutes, sometimes longer. The status updates on its own when Meta responds, so there's nothing you need to do but wait.

Can a template be approved and later disabled?

Yes. Meta can pause or disable a template for quality reasons even after approval. If that happens, review the content against Meta's guidelines before resubmitting.

Why isn't my approved template in the broadcast list?

Confirm it's in the right language and category for your campaign, and that it's still approved rather than paused. Only approved templates are selectable.
