WhatsApp Quality Rating
What the green, yellow and red quality rating means for your WhatsApp number, how customer feedback drives it, and how to protect it inside LeadPattern.
Your quality rating is Meta's measure of how the people you message feel about hearing from you. It's based mostly on how recipients react — blocking you, reporting you, or simply ignoring your messages all count against it. A healthy rating keeps your number sending; a poor one can cap or cut your messaging limit.
Reading the colours
Green — High Your number is in good standing. Nothing to do but keep it up.
Yellow — Medium A warning sign. Recent messages are getting some negative feedback — review what you're sending.
Red — Low Quality is poor. Your messaging limit may be reduced, and continued problems can restrict the number.
What drives it down
- Blocks and reports — the strongest negative signals.
- Irrelevant or unexpected messages — people who didn't opt in, or content they didn't want.
- Too-frequent sending — messaging the same people too often.
- Low-quality templates — see templates.
