Automation Overview
Build WhatsApp bots in LeadPattern with a visual builder — triggers, conditions, actions, delays and interactive replies that respond to your customers automatically.
Automation lets LeadPattern reply and act for you. Instead of a teammate handling every message by hand, a bot watches for something to happen — a new lead, an incoming message, a tag change — and then runs a sequence of steps you design: send a message, assign an agent, add a tag, wait a while, and more.
What is a bot?
A bot has two parts:
- A trigger — the event that starts it (for example, a customer sends their first message).
- A flow of nodes — the steps that run once the trigger fires, connected on a visual canvas.
You build the flow by dragging nodes onto the canvas and connecting them. Each node is either an action (do something) or a condition (branch based on the customer's data).
The building blocks
A typical first bot
Most teams start with a simple welcome bot:
Trigger on first contact
Send a greeting
Branch on the reply
Assign or tag
Every run is recorded
When a bot runs, LeadPattern logs each step it took and how it finished. If a customer didn't get the reply you expected, the Bot Logs show you exactly what happened.
