Create and submit
Open Templates
Go to Templates and start a new template.
Name it and pick a category
Give it a clear name and choose the category that matches its purpose (for example marketing or utility). The category affects how Meta reviews it, then continue.
Write the content
Add an optional header, write the body text, and drop in variables for per-recipient values. A live preview updates as you type. Add a footer if you like.
Add buttons (optional)
Add sample values and submit
Provide a sample value for each variable (Meta needs these to review), then submit. The template enters pending status until Meta reviews it.
Writing a template that gets approved
Match the category to the content
A promotional message submitted as a utility template is a common rejection reason. Pick the category that honestly describes the message.
Keep variables meaningful
Don't open or end a message with a lone variable, and don't stack variables back to back. Meta reviews whether the filled-in message makes sense.
Avoid spammy phrasing
Excessive capitalization, vague offers and misleading claims lead to rejection. Write the way you'd want to receive the message.
