Template Buttons

Add buttons to WhatsApp templates in LeadPattern — quick-reply, link (URL) and call buttons — to make approved messages interactive and drive action.

Buttons turn a template from a block of text into something a customer can act on with a tap — reply with one word, open a link, or call you. You add them while creating the template.

Button types

Quick reply

A tappable reply that sends a short, predefined response back to you — great for Yes / No or menu choices. Automations can react to which button was tapped.

Link (URL)

Opens a website — a product page, a payment link, a booking form.

Call

Dials a phone number so the customer can call you directly.

Add buttons to a template

1

Open the button section

While creating or editing the template, add buttons under the message body. See

Create a template
2

Choose the type

Pick quick-reply, link or call for each button.

3

Set the label and action

Give the button a short label, and set the URL or phone number for link and call buttons.

4

Submit for approval

Buttons are reviewed by Meta along with the rest of the template.

Keep buttons clear

  • Use action verbs on labels — Track order, Book now, Call us.
  • Don't over-stuff a template with buttons; a few clear choices convert better.
  • Match the button to the message so the customer knows exactly what a tap does.
