Tag customers in LeadPattern to label and organize contacts, then filter the inbox and build segments around those tags for targeted broadcasts.

Tags are simple labels you attach to customers — VIP, Lead, Newsletter, Follow-up. They make a large contact list searchable and turn loose groups into audiences you can broadcast to.

Tag a customer

1

Open the customer

Find the customer in Customers, or open their conversation in the inbox.

2

Add a tag

Apply an existing tag, or create a new one on the spot with a clear name.

3

Add as many as fit

A customer can carry several tags at once — one for interest, one for stage, and so on.

Using tags

Filter the inbox

Narrow the conversation list to a single tag to focus on one kind of customer. See

Keep tags useful

  • Agree on a short list of tags across your team so everyone uses the same labels.
  • Prefer tags for groupings, custom fields for data. Use a tag for is a VIP; use a custom field for a value like a renewal date.
  • Review occasionally and merge or retire tags that overlap, so your filters stay meaningful.
